Privacy Policy for Martechery.com
Introduction
At Martechery, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect on our website (including subdomains like our scheduling page), how we use it, and how we keep it secure. We only collect the minimum data needed to provide our services, and wherever possible we self‑host the tools we use (scheduling, analytics, CRM) so your data stays with us, on-premise not with cloud providers. By using our site, you agree to the practices described here, which may evolve over time.
Information We Collect
We only collect information you share with us or that's required to deliver our services:
- Contact Info: Name and email if you book a meeting or fill out a form. We do not ask for phone numbers, addresses, or financial details.
- Booking Details: Meeting time, date, and notes used only to arrange your appointment.
- Email Enrichment: Sometimes we look up public business info connected to your email (e.g. company, role) using Hunter.io. This helps us prepare for meetings.
- Analytics Data: We collect anonymous site usage stats (page views, referrals, general trends). No IPs or unique identifiers are stored.
- No Sensitive Data: We do not collect health info, political views, children's data, or other special categories. Our services are for business users 16+.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide Services: Confirm meetings, send invites, and carry out what you requested.
- Communicate With You: Respond to messages, reschedule requests, or send confirmations. We may also send you direct follow‑up emails during the course of the sales process. These are personal emails from us, not automated marketing blasts.
- Improve Our Services: Anonymous analytics help us see which pages work best and never tied to individuals.
- Personalise Interactions: Email enrichment lets us tailor meetings to your needs.
- Legal & Safety: In rare cases, we may disclose info if legally required or to prevent misuse.
We never sell or share your personal data for advertising.
Cookies & Tracking
- No Tracking Cookies: Our main site uses Umami Analytics, which doesn't track individuals, use cookies, or store personal data.
- Essential Scheduling Cookies: Our booking page (calendar.martechery.com, powered by Cal.com) sets a few cookies for security and session management only. They don't track you or contain personal info.
Third‑Party Services & Sharing
We carefully limit third‑party use:
- Self‑Hosted Tools: Cal.com (scheduling), Twenty CRM, and Umami (analytics) all run on our own servers. Your data isn't shared with those vendors.
- Scheduling: Booking details stay on our servers. External sharing only happens if you request a calendar invite or video call.
- Analytics: Umami collects anonymous, aggregated stats. A GDPR‑first approach.
- CRM: Your contact info may be stored in our private Twenty CRM instance, accessible only to our team.
- Data Enrichment: We may send your email to Hunter.io for public business info (e.g. company, role). If you'd rather we don't, just let us know.
- Calendar Integration: Appointments go into our Google Calendar so you get proper invites.
- Video Calls: If we use Google Meet, Zoom, or similar, we'll use your name and email just to send the invite.
We only share data when necessary to provide the service you've asked for, never for advertising or unrelated purposes.
Data Storage & Security
- On‑Premise Hosting: All personal data you provide (through our website, scheduler, etc.) is stored on physical servers we maintain in our office in Sydney. These servers are literally on‑premise (a server box in our office), not in commercial cloud environments.
- Security Measures: Access controls, encryption, firewalls, and regular updates keep your data safe.
- Retention: We keep data as long as it's useful to our work together. You can always request deletion.
- Breach Notice: If your data were ever affected by a breach, we'd notify you as required by law.
International Users
Our servers are in Australia, but we welcome global users. If you're in regions like the EU/EEA or UK, we apply GDPR‑style principles (minimal data collection, transparency, and security) even if not legally required.
Your Rights & Choices
You can:
- Update or correct your info by emailing us.
- Opt out of future communication.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Ask what information we have about you.
- Tell us not to use enrichment services like Hunter.io.
We may confirm your identity before acting on requests.
Children's Privacy
We don't serve or knowingly collect info from anyone under 16. If we ever do by mistake, we'll delete it promptly.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Significant changes will be highlighted on our site. Please check back occasionally to stay informed.
